From ProjectComment
(I hate using the rating system by the way, so take how I rate this piece with a grain of salt).

There appear to be anatomy quirks in this piece (Particularly on the hands, as they look fairly deformed). However, considering that the overall message of this piece appears to be, "Eat your vegetables.", I suppose having disfigurement occurring within the drawing adds to it. Nonetheless, I would practice drawing hands properly if you aren't doing so already, as they can be quite difficult to draw successfully (I do at least, as humans are not my forte).

As for any shading tips... From what I gathered, it doesn't appear you're just using the color black and fading it out for everything, which is good. I would definitely suggest for you to experiment more when it comes to what colors you use for shading in the future though. Depending on the colors used, the drawing's overall mood and atmosphere is vastly altered. I usually have fun experimenting with different colors as a result.

The hair's shading is also a little bizarre. With the way your lineart/shading is, it makes the hair look clumped together as opposed to having with numerous amounts of individual strands.

Here's a few photos of females with shorter hair so you see where I'm coming from.

Thanks to the sheer number of hair strands, light sources cause the hair to have a much more thread-like appearance as opposed to a solid mass.

To clarify, I'm not saying to render each individual strand. That's more towards realism. Realism doesn't appear to be the style you're going for here. Rather, I would suggest gesture/study hair styles similar to your character's, then simplifying it from there to fit your current style. You appear to be going for an anime-like style in this piece, so you might want to observe how other anime artists draw hair.

If you don't know what gesturing is, I would suggest looking it up on your search engine, as it's a useful tool for me whenever I'm studying certain photos.
